“After a stressful time at work we wanted to relax an calm down in our holidays. At Gilligans we found exactly what we needed and so much more :). We enjoyed the beautiful and lonely beach. Kayaking to the waterfall and the nearby small island was a great pleasure. We loved the island hopping tour with great snorkeling sports where we saw some seaturtles and beautiful reefs. A big thank you goes to Erika, Reggie and their boys Eri and Eric. These warm hearted and friendly people made our stay extra special. Erikas and Reggies cooking is superb, always tasty and delicious. You have to try all the meals and ask for a coconut (they are really big :)). Last but not least, thank you to Mal for sharing this beautiful and lovely place.”
beach front property in a stunning secluded beach all your own. The only home on 5 mile stretch of beach. Solar powered and run by batteries at night, this property is earth friendly while affording it's guests simple luxuries like the most stunning sunset views and the blue sea and and millions of stars at night. You will have a very humble couple, Reu and Nely, who will attend to your needs for the duration of your stay.
“If you want paradise on earth then you found it on fritz’s place. The place is about an hour away from san vicente airport and about four hours away from puerto princesa. Its another 2 and a half hours away from el nido. We had an amazing time at that place plus the caretakers took very good care of us. Thanks, nely, reu, toto, janus and the rest of the guys for always going above and beyond. The house is situated in a very remote place but don’t you worry because fritz can arrange for you to be picked up at the airport. It will cost about 3 thousand pesos one way but its the whole van and not individually. If you want to go around town, you can rent a motorbike from Reu for 600 pesos which is about $12 USD. They also have a boat that can take you island hopping for 5000 pesos ($100) and it can seat 9 people and that includes food. Regarding going around town with the motorbike, if you are worried about getting lost, just ask janus to be your guide and he can take you wherever you want, just make sure to fill up the gas tank when you return it and to tip your guide. The poor kid didn’t want to accept our tip and was going to pay for his own gas but we eventually won the argument. Fritz has some very nice people who takes care of his place. For breakfast, just ask nely or toto what you want and they will cook it for you. Regarding your personal belongings, we left our money and gadgets everywhere and nothing was touched, these guys can be trusted. The place was amazing and the sunset from the deck was magnificent. Every morning you see fishermen selling their catch by the shore and you can go and buy it straight from them and before it even hits the market. A kilo of squid is about $4. The only downside is the sand flies. There is no tourist around so the beach is inhabited by the sand flies but don’t you worry, fritz has an antidote to that and he will share that with you when you make your reservation.”
My place is located on the beach, under coconut palm trees. Pamuayan Beach is 2 km long and has not yet been developed so you maybe the only guests there. It is close to Port Barton: 3 km on foot or a motorbike or 10 minutes by boat. It's a perfect place for couples and for everyone who wants to escape from noise and commotion. All you will hear is the sea and occasionally a boat in a distance. You can also use a kayak that i own to go to explore the nearby islands or to snorkel.
“We booked both available bungalows. They are simple but clean and comfortable. The place is not far located from Port Barton, especially if you have a motorbike (highly recommend to rent one) - max 15 minutes. Port Barton became a bit busier last months and therefore this is a good option if you look for an even more relaxed accommodation. The beach is literally in front of your bungalow and it's very clean with white sand and a relaxed atmosphere. I also suggest a trip going up north to San Vicente. Rosemary is very knowledgeable and the everyday breakfast was delicious and can be taken right on the beach. We had a great stay, I highly recommend Rosemary's place, we will be back for sure. Must try: Explore the planktons at the beach at night!”
