The Little Beach House is a beautiful studio apartment, newly converted from a 300 year old stable which is set in the 1.5 acre grounds of Cromla House, one of the oldest listed houses on the island in the picturesque conservation village of Corrie on the Isle of Arran.
“We had a wonderful stay here. Having never visited the Island before, this looked like the perfect little place for two. Especially with the current circumstances we had all the functions of a full kitchen incase no restaurants were open and a lovely outdoor seating area incase the weather was lovely. We never really researched the area and it was really just our luck to discover when we arrived that the hotel in Corrie is so close by, for a lovely meal, drink and beer garden by the sea. Also Mara Fish Bar and Delhi is at the end of the drive way (only offering take out at the moment) The local taxi driver described it as the best food on the island and it didn’t disappoint. By total luck again we were able to eat inside the hotel without booking and order from Mara ( as we seem to eat quite early) because both places were packed out with bookings. We just made it, so I would definitely book ahead in future to avoid disappointment. The little beach house it’s self was lovely, there was a cosy fire on for arrival, tea, milk and treats. Everything was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, the outdoor seating is lovely with twinkly lights and inside cosy on the days the weather isn’t great. We really enjoyed our stay, would absolutely recommend to others and hope to visit again.”
Lovely, warm, fully modernized cottage set in 3 acre garden with spectacular views across Lamlash bay. Surrounded by forest, fields and abundant wildlife, yet 500 meters down a beautifully wooded (and occasionally steep!) track are the yacht harbour and all village amenities, including shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs, playgrounds, beaches, etc.
“We had high expectations about this holiday, our 5th year in Arran, but our first stay in Lamlash. I didn't think they could be exceeded but they certainly were. We loved everything about the ample but homely cottage, especially the gardens and the stunning view, and the fabulously placed sun room. The kids enjoyed the trampoline and room to explore and run about. Kevin was a great host and communiocation was exectly as we would have wanted with rapid responses and useful information. We also had Marbeth on site next door in case we needed anything and even though we didn't this was a welcome comfort. The little touches like our welcome basket really made us feel at home and also a topuch of local luxury. Lamlash itself is stunning, I would really recommend the sunrise, and the views of Holy Isle amazing. We thought nothing could top the views of Pladda and Ailsa Craig from Kildonan, but this was at least equal. Arran itself is an amazing and unique place, 'Little Scotland' indeed with such a variety of landscapes and something for everyone. I hope to return every year as a family, and from the kids being babies there has been something to do for each stage of their lives. I look forwards to climbing Goat Fell in a few years! If you haven't been to Arran you need to go, and there's few places could ever top Kevin's Place in Lamlash. Couldn't recommend it more highly.”
Our one bedroom detached cottage is 250 years old and was fully renovated in 2014 to a very high standard to highlight the beautiful seaside cottage's charms with a contemporary twist. The cottage has a peaceful tranquility, seaside location and stunning views over Lamlash Bay.
“Tommy's cottage is a real gem if you looking for relaxing getaway. This place is super stylish and beautifully decorated. The cottage is fully equipped for longer stays. I must say- We loved the bed, it was amazingly comfortable. Tommy was very fast, easy to communicate with and very helpful when we needed. We would definitely come back and we highly recommend this place. Just a little note- do not expect a great internet. We did not really mind it, that was not what we came for :)”
