“I had a wonderful extended stay with the Powells. The space was clean and private and well located in an area that was relatively quiet and that was easily accessible to town via 5 minute route taxi drive. The Powells are a very nice couple who invited me to join them on outings, occasionally shared a meal with me, and gave me delicious fruit off of their trees in the beautiful back garden. They are very helpful about orienting guests to the area upon arrival. I plan to stay with them again the next time I'm in Santa Cruz.”
The cottage is a separate private flat apart from the main house with a full kitchen and patio.
“Lucia's place is located in a quiet neighborhood, with her help I had no difficulties finding the place. She was very accommodating offering us extra blankets in case we got cold in the night and the fridge was stocked with lots of goodies. Overall the accomodations were very clean and comfortable. Super stylish decor too! Would definitely recommend to others and stay again.”
Enjoy the beautiful sunset over a cup of coffee. Eat dozens of different fresh seasonal exotic fruits grown right on the property. Experience the real Jamaica in the cool quiet mountains of Malvern, St. Elizabeth. Situated only 35 minutes from Treasure Beach, YS Falls, Appleton Estate, Middle Quarters home of peppered shrimps and Holland Bamboo. Exploring the unique land is within minutes. This bed and breakfast will satisfy all your needs for a relaxing getaway!
“I had an amazing time staying at this beautiful castle getaway in the hills overlooking the farms and beaches of St. Elizabeth. Ninja, the mother who lives there, is very kind and has all the tips and local knowledge to help you get around the area. She even cooked some of the best home-style breakfast and dinner that I have had visiting the island. Although you can easily get to her castle via the town of Malvern from Santa Cruz or Pedro Cross/Junction with a route taxi (it cost me an additional J$200), I highly recommend walking to or from her place at least once -- the countryside with its vegetable plots and animals makes for a pleasant mini-hike. I will definitely try to stay here the next time I return for work in Kingston and want to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.”
