Secluded cottage by the Sea

AndrewRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Rachael's cottage is wonderful - we stayed six nights in the Spring and it was delightful. We especially appreciated some really nice welcoming touches such as some fresh flowers and chocolates for our arrival. We also appreciated the comprehensive heating system the cottage has - it was a little cold outside but we were always snug and warm inside the cottage. Rachael also has two wood burning fires with plenty of wood provided and even some coal as well. The kitchen is also very well equipped with a modern oven and cook top. All in all a lovely stay in a lovely cottage in an amazing area - stunning views and in the Spring, tons of tiny and cute lambs right outside the front door! We will happily come back!

Private 2 Bedroom cottage located in heart of neolithic Orkney with uninterrupted views.

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Overhouse is a lovely accommodation, we thought it looked even better than in the photos. It is extremely well equipped with really everything you need. As we were there as a couple, we just used the kitchen, the lounge next to it and one bedroom - plenty of space. The location is completely private & we loved the view with a wide space to either side of the house. We thought it was in a perfect location to discover the stunning west coast of Mainland and also just a short drive to either Stromness or Kirkwall or also Dounby which is the nearest shop. We also took the ferry from Houton to Hoy. Veronica responded quickly whenever we had a question. So big reco for Overhouse, we realld felt at home there. Thank, Veronica!

Marston Cabin 2 self-catering with hot tub

JennyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Marston Cabin is immaculately presented and a lovely place to come back to after a day in the Sanday fresh air. The homemade loaf of bread and cakes were much appreciated. It was very well equipped with everything you needed and the sitting area and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you. It was a lovely stay.

Large, Breathtaking Country Home on NC500

JuliaRating, 5 stars56 months ago
This was a lovely house and a good base for exploring Caithness. The house was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were hot. The house was lovely and warm to combat the chilly weather outside! Our hosts were friendly and check in / check out was simple. There was plenty of room for the 10 people in our party. Our children particularly enjoyed the sand dunes at Dunnet Bay and rock pooling at Ham Harbour - even in the rain. There was a nice walk from nearby Lybster Harbour along the cliff tops.

Cheerful 4-bedroom holiday home

KarenRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Stayed here as attending the Blues Festival, Hazel’s place was good as it was on the edge of Stromness so quiet and peaceful but an easy walk into Town. Everything we needed was catered for, made use of washing machine and tumble dryer for our swimming gear. Would recommend, Hazel was friendly and helpful.

Spacious seaside family getaway on the NC 500

GeorginaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Not too sure what to say about this stunning house, other than WOW WOW WOW!!! If you’re looking for the perfect base for a group or family getaway, look no further (I looked far and wide before stumbling over Keiss Harbour House and what a find!!!) From start to finish, Jill has been a fantastic host. The house was exactly as described and even better than expected! We were completely blown away. We visited Keiss as a surprise 40th birthday trip with my boyfriend and 8 of our friends. We all agreed that this is by far the best stay any of us have had. There was something for all of us, walking, to beach trips, the beautiful local town of Wick, kite surfing, diving, john o’groats, lots of delicious food. A Tesco 10 mins down the road meant we were able to make great use of the brilliantly stocked kitchen, the stew cooked in the huge slow cooker provided went down a treat after a blustery day! We aren’t ones to return to the same destination but will definitely be back!

View Orkney Holiday Lets - Farmhouse

Had a lovely stay. The house was excellent. sizeable bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen, 2 comfortable lounge areas, the bathroom was fabulous, I have shower envy. The view from the lounge, dining room and the main bedroom was stunning. 9 of us stayed and we didn't feel cramped at all. The hosts were responsive and kindly provided a welcoming box of cake. The visiting cat was an added bonus!
