There were 7 of us and we really enjoyed both apartments. It has a dining area, a barbecue, a fridge, and bathroom near the pool. The apartments are very good, with air conditioning in the living room/Kitchnet and bedrooms and each room has bathroom. The hosts are impeccable, gave us some restaurant suggestions, and also offered vegetables from the vegetable garden. The location is great and there is a restaurant nearby where you can pick up meals. The only possible disadvantage is not having a dishwasher. We adore and recommend!

Wonderful! The house was beautiful, the place was great. Everything was very organized, and there was nothing missing in the house. Great pool and outdoor space and super well decorated indoor. I believe it was much more beautiful live, the house was extremely clean and smelled very good. Easy to find and very helpful places. Pet friendly so it deserves 10000 points, we took care to remove the rugs and avoid as much as possible the animals present in the furniture. 5-star host, very available is very friendly with the whole stay. Weak tlmv net, good for disconnecting and really resting. We went in August, attention to the heat, even more for those who go with animals. We chose to stay indoors at the hottest times. All impeccable, the house conveys good vibes!

We had a lovely stay at Joaquim’s place. It is a large studio space (possibly a former dance studio?), with a well equipped kitchen. We loved the swimming pool and it was so welcome in the heat. Joaquim was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay and also provided good information on Moura. The supermarkets are conveniently close at hand, and everything in the town is walking distance. We tried a couple of restaurants - Vermulhudo and André’s - both really good with a lively atmosphere. We climbed to the top of the tower at the castle, had a boat trip at the Alqueva dam, visited the oil press museum and generally enjoyed Moura which is very pretty. Thank you for having us, we would love to come back.

The Nest on Tartaruga Island

My husband and I spent 3 nights in the island and we brought with us our spanish water dog. The island is beautiful, full of trees, plants and many areas where to walk, or simply sit, meditate and enjoy nature. There are a couple of ponds with frogs, chickens running around, a very sociable cat, birds flying around. The water of the lake is super clean, we used the paddleboards that Theo offers to the guests and it was a great way of cooling down during the warmer hours while having fun, our dog had a lot of fun as well swimming. The food was delicious, like very delicious. Our cabin was very cozy and clean, it had amazing views to the lake and the garden, and the mosquito net made it insect free inside which is great for me as I tend to get bitten by mosquitoes very easily. The only "problem" that I would say is that the dry compostable toilet is in the middle of the garden, without any walls or separation to provide some privacy (some tall bushes on the sides and the back). For me it wasn't a problem but my husband had some troubles trying to use it as he likes to be alone and closed in a toilet. Also for people with long and thick hair the water stream of the shower wouldn't probably suffice but using a bucket or something similar would solve the issue. Overall we loved the experience and we will recommend it to our family, friends and colleagues, and I am hoping to return for more! :D

A really great place - simple and rural but all was fab. Despite the reviews here, the breakfast was absolutely fine with coffee, juice , cereals , yoghurt , pastries etc. There is a great, local restaurant just down the road.

An unimaginably beautiful place! The house, the decor, the comfort, the place, the view... Everything is great! Carlos is very friendly and is easy to reach. Highly recommended, especially if you want to get together with a larger group, but also for the two of us it was perfect the last few days. We would love to come back!
