Farmstay holiday rentals in Shenandoah County

This is probably the best Airbnb experience that I have ever had. Visited it with my wife. The place is just like in the pictures but even prettier. Judy is an extremely thoughtful host, she has really made this place a haven for guests. Usually great Airbnbs have 1 or 2 selling points, but I can’t even begin to describe what I loved about this place. It’s in a remote but accessible location, and has a very rustic feel to it. But it still has all the modern amenities you will need. The hosts give your privacy but are very accessible. Loved the cabin, loved the bath tub, loved the fire pit and the grill. There’s also a pond and places to hike within their property. Definitely 11/10 experience. Thanks Judy!! Also, never been greeted by a host who gives you a hug as soon as you arrive :)

Perfect stay for our group of 12 - exactly as described, this is not luxury but it is comfortable and easy and well laid-out. Everything exactly as described.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Eileen's. Her home was beautiful. The amenities she provided was above and beyond other places I have stayed. We loved the fresh eggs we were able to purchase. The home was warm and cozy on the cold nights. We used both the fire pit and the hot tub. They were both great. If we are in the area again we would definitely book again.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful area, perfect for an extended family vacation! The basement was full of fun and games for the kids and so importantly a separate TV so the adults could watch shows upstairs. The water is beautiful and wood is available for the firepit. We really enjoyed this place, particularly having 3 bathrooms which made sharing the space with many extended family members great. The hosts are super responsive to communications, and were gracious enough to give us flexibility on our check in time as we wrangled the kids (and adults). I would highly recommend this cabin, and we will definitely stay again!

My fiancé, pup, and I booked this place for a relaxing valentine’s weekend getaway, and we got exactly that! The cottage was charming and such a peaceful oasis with the beautiful views and farm animals in clear sight. The hosts were kind enough to leave us farm fresh eggs, muffins, and valentine’s themed chocolates — all were delicious and well appreciated! Additionally, they were very responsive and extremely friendly :) My fiancé and I spent time cooking dinner together, I baked, and watercolored, it was a lovely time! I highly recommend this place and hope to be back!

Rich and Brittany were amazing guests! The property is beautiful and served as a great retreat from our busy lifestyle! They were able to accommodate for our large group and we all had an amazing time, feeling right at home. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, this is a great option for people in the DC Area!

This place is beautiful! Even more gorgeous than the photos. The cabin was large and super clean. Hosts are excellent, very responsive and helpful. Really so glad we stayed here and highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a beautiful, peaceful oasis.

My family had the best time. We spent Easter weekend, took a day trip to hike at Shenandoah (and visit the Luray caverns). The trail heads we went to were between 1 and 1.5 hours away. We also hiked Big Schloss in George Washington state park (about 20 min to the trail head). The location was peaceful and private. Everything met or exceeded expectations. We had a great time as a family playing pool and games and enjoying the view. We had everything we needed to make meals, and restaurants and grocery stores are about 10 min away. The hosts were great with communication and gave us recommendations when we asked. We would definitely return.

Wonderful long weekend stay for our daughter’s wedding at Showalter Orchard. The accommodations were perfect for multiple family members. Everyone loved the animal themed bedrooms. Beautiful views from the front and back porch. Home is well stocked for anything you may need during your stay. Hoping to make it back again as we didn’t have a chance to use the pool during the busy wedding weekend!

This was our first experience staying at an Airbnb. We had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay. Colin and Danielle were wonderful hosts. We had an issue with the A/C when we first arrived. I contacted them and within minutes Danielle responded and let me know their handyman was on the way. My background was in Hotel management so I say this next not to criticize but just to inform my host. Housekeeping does a great job cleaning what is visible. There was dog hair, dust ,etc under furniture. Inside if the refrigerator was not clean. Other than that the interior and exterior was very clean and orderly. There are a couple of maintenance issues you should be aware of such as, door handles on front and back door are very loose and need to be secured. The master bedroom door does not latch. We will definitely stay at one of Colin and Danielle’s properties in our future travels.

Loved the hot tube. Great games for the kids. Very comfortable with the AC/Heat system.

Quaint and quiet are the two words that come to mind when I think of our stay. The scenery was beautiful and the cows were friendly. Haha. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth it. The bed was super comfortable and the hot tub was a nice addition. We didn't see a single soul during our stay, but the hosts were very communicative and even answered my questions before I could ask. The Internet is surprisingly really good. The general atmosphere is very home-y and welcoming and the 'sun room' is delightful. We would stay here again.

We had a girls weekend at the Manor and had the best time. The home was beautiful and comfortably slept all 13 of our guests. We had plenty of space in each common area for all of us, and the decor was amazing. The house had everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful - they even gave us recommendations to help with our planning, and answered all of our questions before our stay. We highly recommend staying here!

Stayed here for a girls weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Everything was as described. I reached out several times for recommendations prior to our trip and they were extremely helpful each time. They even have lots of brochures and pamphlets for local attractions and restaurants waiting for you when you get there! We are definitely planning on visiting again and will be staying here without a doubt!

We stayed at the cabin for the weekend and absolutely loved it! It was the perfect place for peace and privacy. We really enjoyed our stay—especially the view, it was sooo beautiful!

We loved this gorgeous cabin in the woods with the sweetest bear-themed decor. It was really well-equipped so we could cook our own meals and Marty and Mellanie were great communicators who suggested a few nice hikes. The only downside was the crazy number of bugs! Be sure to bring the bug spray and it's not super pleasant sitting outside because of that so be warned.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful home. It was perfect for our two dogs and their two humans. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, relaxing back porch and fire pit, easy drive to Luray for food/drinks/supplies. Easy to get to from the DC/MD area. Would love to come back.

It feels like getting a warm hug. The sound of the creek, the dance of wildlife, & the peaceful surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for rest, reflection, & reconnection. We truly loved unwinding in the hot tub under the stars-pure magic. The aptly named Honeymoon Suite was a true sanctuary, the perfect ending to each day. Good morning! I was the groom and the groomsmen also stayed there. It was fantastic a fantastic area to do photos and very laid back.

I’m so happy that we booked Rusty and Jayme’s place. It was just like the photos and description. It was a little adventure finding the cabin but it wasn’t a problem at all, especially with the great info that was sent to us. The cabin was equipped with pretty much all the things you hope to find in a rental and with extras like long handled forks for the fire pit and a folding drying rack, etc. We were able to visit family locally and then come back to the cabin to rest and enjoy some downtime.
