Holiday rentals with breakfast in Shenandoah River

Sharon to say the least was a great host from start to finish she gave us alot of info on things to do and to book in advance without her knowledge of booking early attractions we would have missed out my 2 teenagers didnt want to leave her house is so comfortable and welcoming felt like home the coffee and creamer was a huge bonus for me the board games where a bonus for us as a family also she has a binder with tons of restaurants and info metro cards to borrow and even umbrellas for the inclement weather if your on the fence about staying somewhere else to save a buck do yourself a favor and spend that extra buck with sharons place would love to visit again in future very responsive and place is impeccable thanks again for hosting us Sharon and God Bless

My family enjoyed staying here for a fun weekend in Charlottesville. It was a quick, easy drive to Charlottesville and other local attractions. We traveled with our 8 month old baby and our in-laws and everyone felt right at home! The sun room was a perfect spot for family time. The hosts were mindful about having plenty of toiletries and snacks for guests. We definitely recommend staying here!

This was my first time using Airbnb, and I was a bit nervous since I didn’t know what to expect. However, the host provided clear instructions before my arrival, which made checking in easy. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the home—it exceeded my expectations. I’m typically used to staying in hotels when I travel, but this home offered much more privacy, which I really appreciated. While there was a nearby freight train, it didn’t bother me at all. The host was very responsive to my questions and helpful throughout my stay. There was a minor issue with the garbage disposal, but once I let the host know, they had it fixed by the next day, which was great. The location was convenient, with plenty of retail stores nearby like Marshall’s, Ross, the Nike Outlet, H&M, and even Dave & Buster’s. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in town.

My family loved the house! It's lovely with large rooms! Great kitchen and dining area! We loved the porch and property! So thankful to be able to take our dog too!

We were in the area for a weekend football tournament. Most other parents got hotel rooms and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision to book this airbnb!! The bang for your buck is remarkable! The extra amenities that have been thought about to make sure you are taken care of were seriously appreciated! My teenage son loved the feel of the place! He was very intrigued with all the paintings! The vibe definitely made him super comfortable! Oh and the ease of communication and flexibility with Roman was the cherry on top! Thank you for a pleasant stay!!

We had a great stay at this location with Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and in a convenient location. It is right next to nice walking and bike trails and across the street from a cute little coffee shop.

Sarah went above and beyond to make us feel like family staying in her guest house. From the special delivery of wood for a campfire to a one on one education on fibers we felt so special. The surroundings were beautiful and location so peaceful and relaxing. We loved getting to know all the animals from the alpacas to the barn cats. The house was lovely and full of character. Sarah provided the ingredients for a lovely breakfast even including oranges to make fresh squeezed juice with her press and a pan of local cinnamon buns. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We had an amazing weekend away on the farm!

This was my second time visiting. Sandra made every effort to make it feel like like home. Everything was wonderful. Great time again.

This house met more than our expectations. The hosts were friendly and very quick to respond. The house was extremely clean and organized. It was perfect. We felt safe with our children. Plenty of space for us all. Anytime we visit DC, we will book our stay here! 10/10 recommend.

Great location! Host is excellent and very responsive. We spent 5 nights and always felt like we came “home” at night. The bed was very comfortable as was the entire space. Only negative, our feet hurt from walking the hills! Ha, no negatives, stay with Emi and you will be happy you did.

My family and I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely visit again. Having a full kitchen to feed my college student a healthy meal was wonderful! The location was private and quiet and definitely worth the trip.

We had a wonderful stay at Enchanted in Alexandria! The space was beautifully stocked with everything we needed, and we felt comfortable and right at home from the moment we arrived. Becky was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. One of our favorite features was the garden area – so peaceful and charming, and the fire pit made it even more special. If we’re ever in the DC area again, we’ll definitely be booking Enchanted without hesitation. Highly recommend!

As a first timer in DC, I felt nicely situated at Lynn's place. It was very clean, easy to find, and had everything I needed after a day of exploring. Lynn was kind enough to leave magazines of restaurants in the area, places to food shop, a metro pass to get to places, and some food in the fridge. I felt very welcomed and would most definitely stay here again next time I am in the area. The apartment is closely located to some sites like the Smithsonian Zoo and Rock Creek park, which I didn't get a chance to visit this time but will next. Overall, lovely stay. Thank you :)

Fun weekend trip! I was in Staunton for a show at the American Shakespeare Center and stayed an extra day to explore the area. It just happened to be opening weekend for the farmer's market as well as the start of the outdoor shopping/dining season on Beverley Street. Martha's place is the perfect central location for exploring this very walkable town - I enjoyed seeing the Woodrow Wilson Museum (and garden in the back with lots of spring flowers blooming), Mary Baldwin campus, Trinity Church, etc. Martha's apartment is so comfy and clean, and has all the amenities. The bed is amazingly comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the living room couch/tv setup is nice for relaxing with a show or movie in the evening. There are so many little touches throughout the apartment that let you know that Martha has thought of everything to make her guests feel at home. I can't say enough about this charming place and wonderful host!

we stayed at rebeccas airbnb for 9 nights, and we really enjoyed our stay! it had thoughtful amenities (lotions, hairspray, etc) that visitors may have forgotten or run out of. there were some yummy snacks in the fridge ready for eating, and filtered water. the residence was very quiet and we did not experience disrupted sleeps (I wasn't sure as it is a basement). metro is a few blocks away and safeway was also a short walk away, so we didn't have to walk far when we wanted to get groceries or go to the national mall! the laundry machine in the unit is more of a compact size, which was great for washing some sweaty clothes after days of walking! one thing I would note is that the bedroom has an exterior entry light that is requested to be on at all times, and the blind for the back door does not cover the full length or width of the window, so a fair amount of the light enters the bedroom. it made the bedroom fairly light during sleeping hours.

Lisa is a fantastic host! Her place is nestled in a quiet residential section not far from downtown Charlottesville. The place was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. What really made the stay great was Lisa's attention to detail (e.g. providing a a few snacks, automated lights in strategic places, extra blankets and linens were easy to find, and a cell phone charger provided in convenient location). Would definitely stay here again.

Sarah and Neil were wonderful hosts! They were very accommodating in terms of check in and were friendly people to chat with. The room that I stayed was gorgeous and all the immediate amenities that I needed (mini fridge and bathroom) were all in that same room. I highly recommend a stay at their home for a quick weekend get away if you are passing by the area!

Good location, very close to the Green Line as well. Listing was as described, and the owner clearly put a lot of time and effort into the restoration of the building. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying with Bob and Pam. They immediately made us feel right at home and like we were visiting family. The morning breakfasts were delicious and gave us energy for our very full days of adventure. When we came home in the evening, their home was peaceful and comfortable. The beds are very cozy! We enjoyed our conversations and the recommendations they had. We hope to come back and have the chance to stay again! Thank you for being such great hosts!

What a fun stay! We got to witness the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen here. The animals on the farm are so friendly. I was able to take my dog for the stay and he met bigger animals for the first time and they became friends instantly. I loved what they have done with opening up the family farm to enjoy. It was very personable and they made us feel like family. The homemade country breakfast was also one of my favorites. We were visiting the area hiking and decided to stay since it was a few hours away and I am glad we were able to stay here. Although our visit was short, it was sweet. Thank you for welcoming my family.. beautiful stay.

This was one of my most positive AirBnB experiences ever, and I've had a lot of really good ones. Denise and Mark were very proactive in their communication, so we knew exactly what to expect when we needed to. They were entirely flexible about our check-in time, and the space was supremely conducive to relaxation for a long weekend. We enjoyed breakfast brought to our room every morning. We spent time playing cards and other games in the beautiful living/drawing room on the main level on one evening and one afternoon. We enjoyed extra post-breakfast coffee from the coffee station on the main floor, along with evening-time chamomile tea. We were walking distance from historic homes and a historic cemetery, and we really enjoyed 4 great restaurants in the vicinity, and picked up some items at the lovely nearby Good Natured grocery. It was a quick walk to and from the train station. The bed was super comfortable and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

Great location! Perfectly located close to all of the major attractions in town with the convenience of an included parking space. We appreciated the 24 hour kitchen with coffee and snacks! Barbara was responsive to inquiries and readily available for information/assistance. It was quiet, quaint, and just the right space for our weekend getaway. My boyfriend also loved the WWII decor, antiques, and vintage advertising!
