Welcome to this peaceful and charming cabin in Hurdal. This place is suitable for those who want a combination of active days, relaxing evenings and various offers by season. Hurdal ski resort is a short drive away and the area offers amazing nature, hiking trails and swimming areas by beautiful Hurdalsjøen. The cabin is also close to the airport, and is just as suitable for holidays as for business trips. Spar Hurdal (grocery store/supermarket) 6km towards Hurdal. Linen and towels are included.

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling cornfield – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside, there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen counter, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

There are very good sun conditions, a great view of Storsjøen and only a short walk down to the water, where there are prepared bathing areas for young and old. Storsjøen is known for freshwater fishing and water activities. There are many marked hiking trails nearby. 60 minutes by car from Gardermoen and 75 minutes to Oslo. The cabin area is very child-friendly and gated, for residents only.

There are plenty of hiking tracks in the forest, and we have two bikes for rent so you can explore the countryside roads. Storsjøen is a large lake great for fishing both in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.
