Cottage holiday rentals in Slidell

It was amazing, ( the shower was a little small) the pool was so nice. The owners were in town and they were very polite and nice. He told us about something’s that were going on around town and they also respected our privacy. All in all I would give this place a 10/10 and can not wait to book here again.

Great clean place. Looks exactly like the pictures, excellent location and extremely close to the beach. Cottage is very clean and well maintained. Pool was also very clean and the grounds are clean. Easy to find, would absolutely stay again. Only tiny issue is hot tub would only heat to 89 even when set higher. The washer and dryer are a major perk when traveling for a lot of days as a family. Thanks for a great stay!!

We were extremely pleased with the house and hope to stay again in the future. The house has all the charm of a craftsman style home . Just lovely!!! Beautiful location and the house had everything we needed and more. We love the Covington/Madisonville area and plan to book again on our next visit.

Christopher's communication is helpful and superb! The Art House has a positive energy vibe with excellent Art selections. We spent a lot of time just looking at the Art and bonding. The outside is well-maintained! The Foutain in the back yard adds the special touch of sound and beauty. The location is safe and quiet. We enjoyed our stay more than words can describe in this tiny space.

During our spring break trip, we stayed at Lyndsey’s home, which was the perfect location for exploring Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. We enjoyed waking up to beautiful sunrises and having coffee on the back deck. The house was well-equipped for a comfortable stay, and Lyndsey was very responsive to our questions. We highly recommend this home and its wonderful hosts!

Came back for spring break a year later and the place did not disappoint. Our family of five thinks of this home as our home away from home now. Highlights include pool, hot tub, easy walk/run to the gulf, easy bike to the downtown, quiet street, screened in porch for reading, clean and spacious interior. Couldn’t ask for more!!

Such an awesome place to stay! Fantastic responsive host who got me everything I wanted and knew the local area. Extremely friendly and professional. The place was super quiet. Much of the nearby town has train noise but not here. It was a few miles outside of town, super peaceful, in a great nature setting near a pond. Outdoor seating available. My best stay anywhere. Super comfortable bed as well. Highly recommend!

We had stayed at The Mermaid Cottage several times. It feels like our home away from home when we are there. The house is always clean and well taken care of. We love the short walk to the beach. We always look forward to staying at The Mermaid Cottage when we are in Mississippi. We hope to return soon.

Very quiet & close to the beach… will book again

Lovely quiet cottage with outdoor space - great proximity to Frenchman St, the Quarter, Riverfront, Bywater, and the fabulous Marigny neighborhood.

We stayed there for a week during Thanksgiving while visiting family in the area. It’s a great location easy to get around. I loved being so close to the beach and boardwalk. The cottage was perfect for a cozy beach week in the winter. I’m sure the area is a very busy in the summer but there were several things walking distance and easy drives to make the location convenient during busy season. The cottage is dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us. We will definitely be looking to rebook next year when making our plans.

This house was perfect for our family. Lots of space inside and outside. They had a stocked kitchen with everything we needed.

For our family of six plus our dog, this was a sweet place to stay for a long weekend at the beach. We were always able to find parking right at the beach, and the beach was not crowded at all. The beds in the house were comfortable and easily fit the six of us. The neighborhood was fun to take the dog on walks, and my husband and I enjoyed going for a run in the morning. We could easily make our meals, do laundry, and Janie communicated everything clearly!

I enjoyed my visit very much. The suite was nicer than the photos. It was in the woods, but with easy access to the main road through Folsom. The neighbors I saw while driving to the suite were all friendly. The suite was very quiet and had all the amenities one could ask for. The decor reminded me of an English Garden cottage. I found the visit very calming and peaceful. I slept well, which is important to me.

My wife and I stayed for an extended weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The home was beautiful! And very easy to gain access to with the instructions that Teri provided. It was so clean and comfortable, and very close to everything we wanted to visit. Although most of our time was spent away from home, we found it very comfortable and easy to relax into once we were there. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to visit the Gulf Coast region, and my only wish was that we could’ve stayed longer!

This was a very very nice trip and the cottage was absolutely amazing, nice and cozy and very warming. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that plans on going to Gulfport for a visit.

We had a great stay at Jayson's home. The house is very well stocked with everything you need. The layout of the house is very functional, and the deck was a great place to relax and socialize. It was so close to our planned activities. We were there for riding bikes on St. Tammany Trace and a jazz concert at the Dew Drop Jazz & Social Hall. Jayson's house is very close to the trail and is a 5–10-minute bike ride to Dew Drop.

We have been going to Mandeville to bike ride on the St Tammany Trace Trail for many years now and have stayed at one of Ed’s cottages whenever it was available. The cottage is immaculately clean and feels like a home away from home. It is convenient to walk or bike to almost anywhere in Old Mandeville. When we arrive we park our car and don’t get back in it again until we are ready to leave to come home. Ed is the perfect host and always makes everything so convenient for us. We will be back.

This place is beautiful. It looks even better in person than the photos. The entire property is so pretty and peaceful. The living area is really large and it worked perfectly for our large family event in the area. We had a nice big place to hang out after the event. We used the kitchen to feed up to ten people with no issues. A note for coffee drinkers - you don't need filters for the coffee maker, it has a reusable one. We did run out of paper towels, and there wasn't enough dishwasher soap for how often we used the kitchen, so we had to provide our own. There also wasn't access to any cleaning materials so when we had a spill on the carpet we had to get our own cleaning supplies for it. That's not the owner's responsibility, just wanted to point it out for those coming later. You're going to love your stay here!

After Dune Delight was everything that was advertised, we had a very nice 5 night stay. The beds were comfy, lots of tv's, and everything was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped.
