Family-friendly holiday rentals in Son

We enjoyed our brief stay at Kristian’s apartment. It was a bit tricky to find the apartment and it’s up five sets of stairs (we left luggage in the car!) but we appreciated the thorough instructions Kristian gave us when he greeted us upon arrival (we weren’t used to meeting the host - that’s not really done in the US). Amenities were nice and we’d definitely stay again!

the cabin is in the middle of the forest and very calm and quiet, it was incredibly cozy inside as the outside, we did not take the time and try out the stomp since it takes so long and fill up and get it warm, this is an amazing family cottage

Marthe 's place was lovely. We stayed there for one week and we had a great time. Grocery stores and restaurants just one minute walk away. The subway station was also one minute away and the Central S station was about 5 minutes away. The bus stop to Bygdoy (museums) was about 2 minutes away. The neighborhood was very lively in the evenings with many people outside. We felt completely safe. The apartment itself was large and clean with funky art decorations, perfect for a family with enough space for everyone. The wifi was very fast. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and enjoying the rooftop views. Marthe was very kind and communication was fast. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Thanks Marthe for everything.

Christoffer is a fantastic host! From the start he was very pro-active in his communication and very friendly yet professional. The instructions and directions to the apartment were very clear, which made getting the key and finding the place super easy peasy. Christoffer offered up lots of activities to do and restaurants to visit and also how to go about using public transport, which made everything a lot more relaxed for us, as it was our first time in Oslo. upon requesting if there was a possibility to use the couch as a bed, we arrived to the couch already made up. The apartment was super clean, close to multiple forms of Public Transport and in a quiet area as well. The instructions left for in the apartment itself were clear and even personalised (which was super cute!). Kitchen and other rooms were very well stocked. We didn't want for anything. We had a great time in the apartment and would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you for letting us stay in your fantastic home.

From the start, we were very well received. Tomasz was ready to greet us when we arrived, so we were in really safe hands. He just reviewed the amenities with us and everything was really nice! We had an absolutely perfect stay at Tomasz's place and our trip couldn't have been better! We will definitely be back!

Very cozy, the house has everything you need for vacation. We were there three days and went on a hike all days, area was nice. We met Ole Martin, he was cozy. I don't know if he responds quickly when you need something because everything was perfect, we didn't have the need to ask anything :)

Marte's place was beautiful--I personally really loved her decorative taste (and learned that I love Elsa Beskow and Alphonse Mucha). Aside from that, it was very clean and she communicated with us in advance about some construction that was going on at the property, which turned out to be fine for us. The neighborhood was quiet with some great restaurants and very easy access by bus from the city center. There was an outer door to the complex that got stuck at one point and Marte was very helpful and proactive in getting help for my husband to get back in. Overall she seemed laid-back, friendly, and cheerful. I highly recommend staying with this fantastic host. Thank you so much.

We returned happy and enjoyed our second Christmas Eve in the charming cottage. It's really peace and quiet here. Nice with new automatic lamps in the porch and in the toilet. Drinking water in the pump outside is great. The cabin heats easily and quickly with the wood-burning stove. Nice firewood at the cabin. The kitchen has everything you need. Cozy open living room/kitchen. Warm loft. Duvets/pillows for everyone and warm woolen blankets. Lots of candlesticks, so you can enjoy the dark hours as well. Nice food storage in the cold porch. Quiet area with beautiful nature. Easy to find and easy to check in. Sindre is on top of everything. Trash dumpsters a few miles from the cabin. Pure relaxation and pampering of the soul. Presence and no disturbance.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was cozy and warm, even in the winter. Thove was a caring host, always quick to respond and offer helpful suggestions for things to do. We would recommend it for a getaway.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is stunning, had everything we could need and the hosts were lovely. They helped with local recommendations as well as making sure we had all the information we needed for the house. Not to mention the gift of some mixture for us to make traditional waffles! The train station is just a few minutes' walk. The kids particularly loved the pool and table tennis table, and I really enjoyed the beautiful walks that are possible from the property. All in all a five star stay.

Beautiful cabin - old and authentic but also up to modern standards in terms of utilities, kitchen, bathroom etc. The area has great hiking opportunities (especially for foreigners who wants to see the rugged, glacial landscape characteristic of Norway) and free ferry connection which is an activity in itself. The host is pretty chill, and the "house rules" are easy to follow and do not affect the trip in any way.

A very special accommodation! We went two adults with three young people and had a wonderful stay with swimming, tennis, cuddling kittens and evenings in the jacuzzi. A unique place with lots of possibilities. Would definitely recommend a trip here!

We had a very pleasant stay with two adults and two children. Awesome house, clean and welcoming, all amenities. The location was quiet and peaceful and very lovely with a pool in the heat :) Pia responded quickly and was very service minded. We would love to come back :)

We had an unusual situation where another AirBnB rental fell through at the last minute, in a remote area. Stina was enormously helpful in getting us settled and comfortable in a very short window. Outstanding host!

Great Apartment in an awesome and stylish neighborhood right by the water, lots of restaurants and close by Munch, national theatre, the train station and the city. Great cabin at Scandic harbor. The cabin has what you need and a nice balcony with evening sun. Short to the beach. Recommended.
