Holiday rentals in Sonoran Desert

The accommodations worked perfectly for our first time visit to the area. The home is spacious, comfortable and clean. John and Carmen were helpful and prompt when we had questions. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings after a long day of hiking. It is a great lodging option for an Organ Pipe NM adventure.

Stayed while working in Lukeville. Neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. The house was clean, inviting, and the beds were comfortable. I enjoyed it so much I booked it again for the following week while still working in Lukeville.

We have stayed here before and we always come back because it such a great little place and close to the down town plaza. It is convenient when we visit for events, is clean and well taken care of, and a great place to relax and enjoy Ajo.

I gave this home 5 stars because it’s super cute and clean and was in a quiet location. However if you have allergies or asthma be aware that there are several strong smelling febreeze plug-ins in this small home. My partner has asthma and his lungs immediately tighten up upon entering. We’ve stayed in Airbnb’s with air fresheners we didn’t care, for but this was pretty bad. We almost didn’t stay, luckily it was warm enough we could leave the doors and windows open to keep it mostly aired out while we were home. I will say we did not contact the owner since we didn’t feel there was much that could be done about it in the short time we were there. Other than that it would have been a perfect stay.

This was a last minute, unexpected stay, and it was amazing!!! There is so much natural beauty in this area, the local townspeople were very friendly and we immediately felt right at home! Our accommodations were wonderful and we felt confortable right away! Vinny was even able to tell us where to take our recyclables! Will definitely be back!

We loved being at Mimis cozy cottage and really are hoping to return someday and experience more in depth the people and culture there. We always felt safe and knew that we could contact Mimi for advice or info if need be. We really enjoyed sitting outside listening to and identifying birds that were not familiar to us. Also enjoyed hiking in the Organ Cactus National monument and driving the 21 mi. Ajo Mountain drive. Also enjoyed driving the scenic loop around Ajo itself and seeing the huge open pit mine. The town itself has some really beautiful churches, a lovely plaza and the Curley school and Conference Center is so lovely too. When we first arrived, there were some delicious homemade treats awaiting us. YUM!! Had an awesome time!

Charleen and Glenn’s place is one of the very best in Ajo. What is now shown in the pictures is a huge front yard with views of the western desert mountains and lots of birds and wildlife. The place was very very cozy, with great art and a charm that is hard to describe. We hope to come back very soon, thank you.

Wonderful stay. Quiet and very comfy. Beds were fantastic . Love the plaza. So enjoyed Organ Pipe Cactus . Defintely a comebacker.
