The house is located at the foot of Kvalhornet, Nattmålstuva and Rundfjellet, surrounded by Sjunkhatten National Park. Location: The house is located in Bringsli which is 8.3 km further into the valley from Straumsnes which is the center of Valnesfjord. There are, among other things, grocery stores and restaurants. It takes 40 minutes to drive to Bodø, 40 minutes to Saltstraumen and 20 minutes to Fauske.

Great cottage yard in relaxing surroundings with stunning views of fjords and mountains. Nice hiking trails right from the cabin door, and with 5-20 min by car you will find both sandy beach, fantastic ski slopes and a variety of mountain peaks in magnificent nature. There are very good sun conditions on the plot, and with little light pollution in the area there are great chances to see the northern lights in winter. From the parking lot at RV80 there is about 900 m to walk along the footpath and forest road in small natural terrain.

Resting heart rate with views and insight

Relax with the whole family in this little oasis. Short distance from the city (Bodø) with great opportunities for hiking, fishing or just enjoying the views and observing the wildlife. Good with space for children, with amazing climbing trees and several natural playgrounds. There is electricity and summer water, urinal and incineration toilet. Drinking water is to be brought, but we make sure that there are several liters available upon arrival. However, please note that there is no shower here. Parking a short walk from the cabin.

The cabin is easily accessible by highway 80, between Bodø and Fauske. Beautiful view of the fjord. Kitchen, bathroom and electricity. Sunny balcony. 5 minutes by car to the swimming area. Fantastic hiking area both summer and winter. Fishing, berry picking, mushroom picking, local food. 10 min to Valnesfjord, with grocery store, cafe, etc. 20 min to Fauske. 35 min to Bodø. Saltstraumen, National Parks, Caves, Museums, Shopping. The cabin is under renovation and available from 1 June 2026. Interior photos coming soon!

Enjoy the tranquility of beautiful surroundings at Strøksnes. Over 100 years old small house that is under renovation. Nice view, short distance to the river or the sea for swimming, football pitch, barbecue facilities, nice fishing opportunities, short distance to Bjørklund farm where they sell cinnamon buns, pick-your-own strawberries/raspberries. A small local shop about 3.5 km away, limited opening hours. Fine hiking areas. About 300 m to the ski slope. Driving distance to Hamarøy, Steigen and Rago National Park.

Glamping Nordland - Dome - Arctic light

The Domes are placed above a garden where raspberries are grown. The Domes are in nature with a fantastic view of the mountains and the fjord. You can see the sky from your bed. During the winter you might even see stars, the moon – or the northern lights? Homemade breakfast with fresh bread and local products is served in a refurbished barn. The Domes are without electricity, but wood for heating is provided. WC, shower, electricity and WiFi are provided in the barn - 100 m walk.

In the immediate vicinity (about 20 minutes walk) is the Kjerringøy Rorbusenter. If necessary, you can have dinner or take boat trips here. The entire area invites you to long hikes or bike tours.
