The metro and a variety of restaurants are easily reached on foot. Downtown Pasadena is a short bike ride, healthy walk, or brief car ride away. Pasadena is a beautiful town with so much to see! We are a 10-minute walk to the Lake Gold Line Metro Station, where you can catch the Gold Line to South Pasadena and enjoy Mission Street's shops/restaurants, take the Del Mar stop where you can take in the famous Rose Bowl Flea Market (2nd Sunday of every month), take the Union Square stop to experience Olvera Street (margaritas, anyone?) or a delicious French Dip sandwich from Phillipe's. If it's a museum you seek, exit at the Memorial Park Station to find the Norton Simon Museum, one of the best collections of visual art in the Los Angeles area. Downtown Pasadena with it's wonderful shops and restaurants is a mere 5 minutes away by bike or car (or, for those of you who enjoy some exercise, a 30-minute walk). We have two adorable dogs. They never have access to the cottage, however, so it is allergen/pet free. During your stay, we happily keep them in the house and only let them out to do their business in the front yard of the main house. You might hear the occasional bark, as they love to protect their homestead. But, most likely, you'll never hear them as the cottage is a comfortable distance away. BTW they are friendly and love meeting new people!

This Beautifully Appointed Modern Guest House is a detached standalone structure set back from the main family residence on a gated secure lot with a dedicated off-street guest parking space. • Swimming pool is a shared amenity w/ hosts and is not heated. • Hot tub is not available to guests. • Non-smoking / vaping property • Two Airbnb guests only per stay — No visitors allowed. Stand alone detached dwelling with its own separate and private entrance. This is a brand new & spacious light filled modern living space featuring stunning view of the Los Angeles National Forest to the north. Beautifully appointed with modern but comfortable furnishings with a comfy queen sized bed and quality fresh linens - courtesy snacks and continental breakfast available. This is a stand alone private guest house - It has a 2nd floor access via a dedicated staircase and can be accessed 24 hours. Late arrivals are not a problem with us at all. You may park one personal vehicle in the driveway, we will assign a space for you. We live on the property and are available if you have any questions. We are respectful of your privacy and tend to be low key but do let us know if we can help in any way. We are happy to text with you when you are here or you can call us direct if you have any more elaborate queries. We are always available. The guesthouse is centrally located in between the communities of South Pasadena and Highland Park, Pasadena, Eagle Rock, and Downtown L.A. There are a variety of amenities, craft coffee shops, restaurants, and bars to suit any taste. 5 minute drive to South Pasadena & Highland Park downtown areas. 10 Minutes from Pasadena & Rose Bowl and 15 minutes from Downtown LA POOL USE We are a family of 4 and use the pool on a daily basis during the Summer & warm days. The pool is not heated. There is no lifeguard on duty and we are not liable for any incidents in regards to the pool. The pool is strictly for the use of the registered Airbnb guests ONLY - no other visitors are permitted to use the pool. No Glass or breakables in and around the pool area - plastic containers are available in the pool room. Please follow pool rules which are located in the handbook in the studio. Whilst we are happy to extend the use of the pool to our Airbnb Guests during daylight hours, please keep in mind that we run a tranquil private guest house and not a holiday resort.

Mid Century Pool House

Our guest house is completely separate with its own driveway, lots of trees overlooking the swimming pool. We like to just sit on the patio and listen to the birds and relax. We've updated everything and feel this is the perfect get away. This unit does not come with a full kitchen, however, we do have a full kitchen sink, portable cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and basic utensils etc. The refrigerator is for cold drinks and some other small items.

Studio Cottage

This is a small Studio cottage at the rear of my home. It's craftsmanesk in style with a partially open ceiling and a skylight. It's perfect for a couple or single person. There is a swimming pool but it's not heated, fine for swimming June to Oct depending on the weather, unless you are a polar bear. It's a 5 min walk to the MetroGold Line and a 10 min walk to new restaurants on Figueroa St. I have a fairly extensive cactus / succulent garden.
