The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these little wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

Overlooking the impressive and beautiful Loch Harport, this quiet crofting community is one mile past the world famous Talisker distillery, one of many fabulous attractions the Island has to offer. Other near-by must see's are the Fairy pools on the road to Glen Brittle, and also Talisker beach. The pods are equipped with a mini fridge, cooking and dining facilities. One double bed, a sofa, and electric shower.

Clarkie's corner Hillview is a new conversion furnished to a very high standard in the township of Edinbane near Portree. Clarkie's corner Hillview also has the benefit of super fast wifi. It's made up of a cosy bedroom with shower room and small kitchen. We are very central for sight seeing, short drive away from Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, Quiraing, Fairy Glen,Fairy Pools etc. In addition Edinbane where we are located has some amazing food, friendly neighborhood and traditional music.

Welcome to Heatherbell. The pod is a perfect getaway for 2, with everything you could need and is just 5 minutes drive from Lochboisdale ferry terminal. Heatherbell is a fantastic base for exploring our stunning landscapes and wildlife. Enjoy the splendid sunsets from the decking. In late summer it is surrounded by lovely purple heather which grows freely and abundantly spreading its glorious purple hues across our hills and glens. A self catering pod in a quiet area, five minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach on the west coast of South Uist. Close to the renowned golf course designed by old Tom Morris. Great for local Trout, Salmon & Sea Trout fishing and a great base for those who like hillwalking. Listen to the corncrake call from the outside picnic bench. Bicycles can be stored in the shed. Newly installed in 2021, the Cabin (often called a Storm Pod) is a self-contained luxury haven. Perched beside a small fresh-water loch and overlooking Loch Boisdale. It has a double bed, and a two small bunk type beds. Cooking facilities and a separate shower with WC. Outside there's a fenced courtyard with great Hebridean views for your enjoyment. Although there is sleeping for 4 available, the accommodation is more suited to couples or single occupancy.
