Luxury boathouse, newly renovated, located in the middle of the Faroe Islands. Everything is new and is only 3 meters from the sea.
“This place is wonderful! It was very hard to leave this lovely place. The boathouse has a beautiful view outside and such a cool design inside. It's great to watch water from the upstairs chairs and the net. The house perfectly clean and very well stocked for cooking, but there is also a very delicious Thai restaurant just up the road! Niclas was a super host, providing many excellent local tips. Probably one of the coolest airbnb experiences I've ever had! I would love to visit the Faroe Islands again and stay in Strendur.”

“Anette and Eydun were kind hosts; during the 2 days that I was there!!!!! I was able to wake up with a fabulous breakfast and enjoy the pleasant view of the sea and the city!!!!!! Very lucky with the weather during those days!!!! enjoyed snow the day arrived and the remaining days sun, rain and snow; but the bad weather always disappeared when arrived at the spectacular places to enjoy some fabulous landscapes. I saved myself from not being held by the Covid-19!!!!!!! I would love to return with my family in another time!!!!”
Cozy cabin sitting in the small valley Vesturi í Dal, with the river Gjógvará running just by. The location offers a wonderful natural playground for children, the peace and quiet that only nature has to offer, all while being within a couple of kilometers of shops, resturant, bar, cultural house and information office.
“This was a perfect little cottage. The walk is short, but in the rain and dark a 5min walk can feel like a lot! [The path is illuminated and there's sheep! It also helps to make you feel remove from the city. After a day of hiking though, I just wanted to mention the distance]. Otherwise, once arrived, the lights around the cottage, the mudroom (for all of our wet gear!) and candles all helped to make this a sweet little Faorese experience. Truly unique. It's simple, but has all you need, and we truly enjoyed it. Thanks again! ps. We got a message from Lis the day before on the lockbox to allow for self check-in, which obviously made it an easy and smooth arrival process. She also messaged us to be safe since a big storm was on it's way! Good vibes all around.”
