Haukur and Vaida’s home in Isafjodur was perfect to explore the area, beautifully appointed, quaint, and felt so cozy to come home to after a long day of trekking through the west fjords. The house also had the perfect bedroom for our two children, was walkable to city center, and a lovely house cat Hosa who made the stay even more enjoyable!

We had a wonderfully peaceful stay at Mountain Song. The place was very cozy and secluded and perfect for getting away from it all. We were there late in the season, but even with some of the roads and trails inaccessible, we found plenty to keep us busy with nearby hikes, restaurants, breweries, and painting and reading while watching the snow fall out the windows.

Cozy house in the heart of the old village Súðavík

A quiet retreat in the Westfjords not far from the town of Isafjorda. The home was clean and peaceful and gave us room to spread out. It has a beautiful view of the mountains flanking each side of the fjord and was very private even with other homes nearby. We appreciated having a hot tub to relax at the end of the day and access to a laundry room.

Lovely summer house in countryside, close to town

We stayed in this cabin and used it as a base to explore the Westfjords. What an excellent stay we had! The place was pristinely clean and larger than what we expected after viewing the pictures. There is excellent outdoor space with patio tables on both the front and back decks. Don't be nervous about the outdoor shower...It was an excellent way to start each day! Access to town is only 5 mins by car where you find grocery stores and a few restaurants. Our host provided tons of useful info to guide our journeys and was super responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better home away from home! Also, the Westfjords are ridiculously gorgeous and made for an experience I'll never forget.

Stéphanie was very helpful and responsive to our questions. Her instructions were clear on how to get into the house. We were sharing the space with another couple who were also very kind. We were mainly only there to sleep at night. The only thing we noticed was there was some hairs in our bed which we brushed off before getting in, but other then that everything else was great!

Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, we could not arrive, but the communication was great and if we had the opportunity to travel in this direction again, we would book with Vilhelm again.

Very clean and one of the best guesthouses on my trip because: Clean, remote location so it was not busy, instructions were clear. Perhaps a bit more expensive but I felt comfortable.

Great place to stay in the fjords, very small town. Nice view and very close to the Arctic Fox Center. Easy communication, nice apartment, quiet town. All good!
