Cozy cabin in the city of Longyearbyen. 2 beds, 1 sleeper sofa, and 1 matress. Total of 4 people at the most (for those who like to be intimate). My family have a history in Svalbard since 1979, And we are lucky enough to keep the connection, with cabins and snowmobiles. But we want to share this beauty to all who gets here. So please take care of our little cabin, so we can return with our grandchildren, to enjoy another decade of Svalbard!
“This worked out perfect for me. The location was walkable to everything in town, and easy to get picked up for tours/activities a few meters away. The place isn’t big, but much larger than a single hotel room. It was nice for me to be able to spread out and have a seating area besides just a bed. The best parts though were the kitchen and hot water. I enjoy being able to self cater rather than always eating out. It saves money and is more convenient. The bathroom stays super warm from the hot water pipes, which is a wonderful thing after hours of hiking through snow in -30° temps. And the hot water never runs out. Being able to come in after a long cold day, strip off all my outer layers, start some dinner cooking and hop in a sauna like shower is the best. As a single person, or if I come back with just one other person, I would definitely stay here again.”

“Great little lodge away from the town centre. No running water (as per description), which was fine for our 2 day stay but they provided us with water to wash with, as well as logs for the fire. Travelling to Svalbard, we wanted to experience being away from the hustle and bustle and this place delivered... we took a taxi after dark just in case of polar bears; the husky farm right in front made us feel protected and they very kindly arranged a last minute husky ride for us on the day we arrived. Only qualm with the place was that there are no locks on the front door but we didn’t have any trouble with our valuables. Thanks very much for having us to stay!”
Small cozy townhouse with 2 floors (nice view from the 2nd floor), beach 75 meters, center 10 minutes walk. Sleeps 6 in 4 bedrooms. Kitchenette with what you need for easy cooking. There are 2 hotplates, small fridge with freezer and a microwave. The house has its own bathroom and of course Wifi. The house is connected to the district heating network, both with regard to heating and hot water. Simple but decent standard and very affordable alternative in Longyearbyen. Nearest pick up point for trips is Mary Ann's Polarrigg.
“The house is steps away from the sea and the second stop from the airport on the airport shuttle. The check-in is as smooth as it gets since the keys are in a key box outside the house. We were a couple hence the place was more than spacious for us. 2 bedrooms (a bunk bed and 2 single beds) on the ground level with the bath and 2 small single bed rooms on the upper floor with a living room overlooking the sea with a small kitchenette fitted with 2 small electric burners with a mini fridge and microwave. There are basic pots and pans with cutlery along with a french press and a electric kettle however only condiment available is salt..fyi. The house is a 7-10min walk to the city center and all the stores and restaurants. The house is well heated and bright with windows facing north and south. The airport is less than 10mins drive and one way journey on the bus cost nok 75 per person. Plenty of activities to do with various tours which pick you from the hotels.”
