Large, quiet house. Very clean house. Excellent communication with hosts. Eduarda is a welcoming, friendly and very helpful person. We'll be there again. I would recommend it.

Beautiful and cozy house for a group of 7. The fireplace had been lit previously so the space was very comfortable when we arrived on a winter night. Thoughtful and kind host. I recommend it.

Felt right at home at Denise's place. Her house is beautiful and equipped with every comfort. The location is wonderfully quiet and within half an hour drive you can reach the most charming towns. Even the car rides are a pleasure, because the surroundings are breathtaking with magical views. I enjoyed it immensely and was actually not ready to leave again. Thank you Denise for your warm welcome and the nice conversations. Her pets are also a great company and make the stay extra special. I would love to come back and would highly recommend anyone to stay here!

A group of 7 people, and we all loved the stay! The house is very good, we had a wonderful reception with Mr. Alfredo, super nice and made us feel comfortable with a nice conversation. The house is equipped with everything and was impeccable when we entered! The pool and barbecue area was where we spent most of our time, super nice and comfortable. We hope to return one day!!

Ideal house to rest with the family: extremely quiet, out of sight, possibility to enjoy the sun or to stay cool (air-conditioned bedrooms and living room), whether in the house or the garden. The house matches the photos perfectly, no complaints!

The stay went super well and the hosts were friendly and always available. The house is large and has good areas, being the best outdoors. In general, it was a great stay and I recommend!

We had a fantastic stay. The foto’s do not do the house justice, the gardens are soo beautiful and the pool is just amazing. We spent a week and it was way too short. Antonio and his wife welcomed us and told us all about the history of the house. They gave us a tour of the house, but also of the private chapel and balcony. They also gave us some tips about things to visit. We went kayaking near Coimbra and that was an excellent outing with 6 teenagers. It was quite hot so most of the days we just stayed near the pool. In the evening the temperature goes down a lot, which is a nice change. Armando, the gardener is also very friendly. He brought us fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden everyday, what a treat! This is truly a wonderful and peaceful place and we will definitely come back!

Great stay, a big thank you to Andy! The house is large enough for a family of 10. Everyone had a quiet little corner. The pool is superb in every way (large, natural filter, few products). The house is well located. It still takes a vehicle for sightseeing! The fruit and vegetable garden provided by Andy are excellent. In my opinion, only one downside, the Portuguese mattresses are much softer than the French mattresses. It was a really great stay for the whole family. Thanks again. Abigael

We had a very nice stay in Folhadosa. The house and garden are very well maintained. Every morning there was a very lovingly prepared breakfast. The Serra with its beautiful landscape is a short drive away. All in all a very loving and beautiful place to spend a few days of your vacation.

The Solar dos Alperces is a beautifully renovated historical house, with all the modern upgrades required to enjoy the rural area close to Serra da Estrela. The rooms and living spaces are well decorated, cared for, and comfortable, and the rooms are always warm which is important in the winter. Sergio is truly a super host! He’s polite, cheerful and is always available to help out, suggest places to visit and to eat, and to share a story. The fact that he lives on the property contributes to a great overall experience. Travancinha is a great “base” to visit the nearby mountains and trekking trails, and the house is a wonderful place to retire to in the evenings and relax and share stories.
