Harwood Estate Winery is a full-time solar-powered winery open year-round. We make about 3,000 cases of wine annually from our 20-acre vineyard, and will be at 5,000 cases soon. Since we began in 2007, we’ve won dozens of major national and international awards for our handcrafted wines, still made in the old-world tradition. We have also introduced three very popular new wine styles to the Canadian market. Our wines are available on-site, on-line, at Farmer’s Markets, in the LCBO and in many restaurants. We provide great entertainment for visiting families with kids, and we treat Designated Drivers to nonalcohol beverages. Our winery is chair, bike, bus and RV-friendly and we also offer electric car charging stations for our customers. In addition, we are one of the few wineries in Ontario that practice a 100% local employee policy. We hire, train, retrain and promote local people. This does not go un-noticed with our many tour partners, who comment repeatedly on how the experience at Harwood is second to none. Most of all, we make extremely good wine…in Ontario!
