Why locals recommend it

The breakfasts are great here. We had our family reunion here one time, and we got to all eat breakfast and drink our Irish Coffee and then go do some sightseeing down on Fisherman’s Wharf. If someone’s visiting, they should have the Ramos Fizz here, too (they call it a New Orleans Fizz). It’s a special old-school breakfast drink that we call Mother’s Milk. It’s blended, and it’s got some cream and an egg white and gin and some orange flower water in it. Coat your stomach, and then after breakfast have an Irish Coffee.

Buena Vista has claims to creating the first Irish Coffee although some of have rebuked this claim. Whether they were the first or not, they still know how to make Irish Coffee. Come just to watch the bartenders pour down the line. Also a beautiful view of Aquatic Park and the bay. This place gets super crowded on weekends so make sure to get there early!
