Winchcombe is only a fifteen minute drive or half hour bus trip over Cleve Hill, yet is like stepping back on time. Founded during Saxon times and big when wool was a big deal, it has great old buildings, cosy pubs, a great deli and even a castle!
Winchcombe hosts a variety of events during the year: April - Wartime in the Cotswolds May - Winchcombe Walking Festival May - Festival of Music & Arts (usually the late May Bank holiday) July - Cotswold Beer Festival August - Winchcombe Country Show First Tuesday in December - Winchcombe Christmas…
Winchcombe is a great place to wander round, taking in the Cotswold stone cottages, gift shops, bakeries, deli, art gallery & cafes.
Saxon town, plenty to see and can be part of a circular route around the Cotswolds.
