One of the best family-run restaurants in town, if you want to try traditional Mexican cuisine at its finest. Located in the blue-collar neighborhood of Azcapotzalco, far off from the more frequently visited neighborhoods like Condesa, Polanco and Roma, Nicos is a modest place that will likely exceed your expectations. I would recommend going for breakfast.

Probably the best Mexican food restaurant in town. Traditional Mexican cuisine from last century. A little pricey and be there early. RSVP required $$$$
