Huge open beach park on the Columbia River. Across from Sauvie Island. Ride your bike there!

20-acre regional park is located on the Columbia River about two miles west of Vancouver Lake Park. It was dedicated in 1997 and features a wide variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. A 2.5 mile trail connects the park to Vancouver Lake Regional Park. The trail runs through an area where Lewis & Clark travelled on their epic journey in 1805.

A great local beach spot for sunny days. Paid parking offered, or park along the public road and hike in.

This park is great for jogging, picnics, and lounging on the beach. Located right on the Columbia River, you can see Sauvie Island, OR, right across the way, and maybe even see a fisherman or two catch a salmon or steelhead. There is a lot of wildlife here, from blue herons to snakes, rabbits, and even a coyote! People ride their horses out there, so that can be a delight, too. There is a 5 mile trail that connects Frenchman's to Vancouver Lake, so joggers always take advantage of that. There is a $3 parking fee, but the pass is good all day and can be used at the other county parks (Klineline Pond/Salmon Creek Park, Vancouver Lake, and Lewisville Park).
