Used to open to Palo Alto residents and their guests only since 1969. First time open after half a century, on December 17th, 2020, residents from all places can finally visit the park. It is 400 acres larger than Golden Gate Park and accounts for one-tenth of all the land in Palo Alto. Wondering why the Palo Altans keep this park to themselves?

This used to be open to Palo Alto residents only. A large Nature Preserve with hiking trails of various lengths and elevations.

Beautiful, vast park with trails, a small lake with an island and kayaks for rent in summer. For decades, access was limited to Palo Alto residents, but activists pushed in 2020 to open to all.

Get a Palo Alto resident to take you to this park if for no other reason than the views. (only open to Palo Alto residents and their guests)

Great for hiking and barbecue with friends and family. The park is exclusive for Palo Alto residents.
