The Carmo Archaeological Museum is located in the ruins of the Carmo Convent in the city and District of Lisbon, Portugal.
Mummies, ancient ceramics & other relics displayed amid the skeletal remains of a Gothic church.
It is located in Chiado area. This convent roof collased in 1755 earthquake. It has very beautiful ruins. Go to TOPO which is a very pleasant views.
Beautiful museum without a ceiling, as to remember Europe's strongest earthquake ever registered, Lisbon's 1755 which destroyed the whole city killing thousands of people.
