Point of Interest
“The track to Wharariki Beach travels over farm paddocks and through a section of coastal forest, before arriving a the beautiful windswept coast. The best time to visit is at low tide, when you can walk the length of the beach and take in spectacular coastlines, caverns, islands, and enormous sand dunes along the way. Source: DOC Sometimes baby seals are swimming near the rocks. Please keep your distance while viewing their wonderful antics.”

“This little Inn is one of our favourite place to dine. The restaurant is open from Spring to end of summer every evening with a different dish. It's another earth building also built by their owners, one of the first in the Bay at the time. Nice architectural features, including very nice compost toilets. The French phrase, Sans Souci, translates to "no worries", the perfect fit for this Mediterranean-style property.”
