Tips from locals
Good classic Portuguese food. Usually their fish is good if you're going out for dinner, but they also do brunches. Lovely to sit next to Praca das Flores.
best buffet brunch in the city for 18€, with fresh croissants and bread and lots of variety in a beautiful little café with a terrace facing a garden, also great for the kids.
Easily one of Lisbon's most famous spots when it comes to Sunday brunches. Best to reserve ahead.

“This neighbourhood restaurant, up the street from Praça das Flores, is a former grocery store from 1870, and the name is that of the original owner, whose portrait can be seen on a wall. There’s also the portrait of Mrs. Deolinda, the store’s second owner after Mrs. Quitéria. They’re both now part of the décor which has changed little for the space’s new life as a “petiscos” (tapas) restaurant. Is now essentially classic Portuguese “petiscos” at the table. They’re available for lunch and dinner, always with a welcoming ambience. Recently frequented by the actor, singer and writer Eddie Redmayne, Oscar winner for Best Actor in 2015. On Sundays there is fado, at 20.30h. Average price 20€ ”
