The Maresme has been an area where textile and stamping have been developed with force. In Premià de Mar, there has been a manufacturing activity in the field of stamping of the first magnitude, especially during the 20th century, where the factory "Lyon Barcelona S.A." stands out. This was the introducer of the printing system for Lyon in Spain and for most of the century it has been one of the most important stamping factories in the State. All in all, the Museum's main objective is to explain the stamping in Catalonia. This activity, started strongly in the eighteenth century, with Indianes, is of great importance to understand the process of industrialization of the country. The large concentration of factories in Barcelona, and the extension of the activity for many points in Catalonia, created a technical and economic potential on which the adventure of textile factories of the nineteenth century could be undertaken.

Es un reflejo del pasado industrial de Premià de Mar (años 30). Fue la primera fábrica en toda España en implantar el estampado a la "lionesa" que seria durnte décadas el sistema más utilizado para estampar tejidos.
