The Muir Beach Overlook is perfect for whale watching or catching the sunset. Only a 5 minute drive away, or available on foot too.
Memoirs of a Geisha had a beautiful scene filmed here. You can see the Faralon Islands from here, and it is not very well known. Great for sunset picnics.
Great views and a bit of history with one of the many gun turrets that lined the coast to protect the Bay Area.
