Situated in a breath taking position overlooking the Atlantic, The Levant Mine and Beam Engine are a surviving historical feature of Cornish Mining. The mine is part of the National Trust and the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. The ‘Tin Coast’ was a seven-mile stretch of the Cornish coast with a significant mining history. Learn about the life of a Cornish Miner and discover the Engine House, or simply take in the beautiful views.

Fascinating insight into the life of the tin and copper miners in the 19th century. You get to see some of the tunnels and mine shafts and try out for your self how hard it is to split rocks with a hammer. Very different from most national trust experiences
