'Shuraku-en Park' If you'd like to see a giant Buddha but don't plan on going to Nara or Kamakura, then Shuraku-en park has an equally large and impressive statue. Little known to people outside this area, the park itself is good for a nice stroll and of course its star attraction. It's a nice place to go to during the cherry blossom and autumn leaves seasons.

明治から大正にかけて活躍した実業家、山田才吉翁が昭和2年(1927年)に建立した大仏。 建立当時、鉄筋鉄骨コンクリート造りとしては国内最大級のもの。なお、大仏見学後、側の「しあわせ村」に寄って湯船に浸かるのもよい。
