This is a historical place developed into a nature park. Nice place to relax and breath some fresh air.

Plaza Cuartel is a historical landmark in Puerto Princesa. It is a small park but has a significant past that contributes to our history and culture. Find out why, visit the place and enjoy its serenity and history. Beside Plaza Cuartel is our Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church. Pay a visit or worship, see this church at its best.

World War 2 atrocities of the American war troops took place here. Please visit the local War museum before coming here. It will give you a better understanding of what actually happened. It's at the opposite end of the city on Rizal avenue on the left hand side 15 minutes trike ride. Down by the Airport runway.

In 1940, Plaza Cuartel once served as a stronghold of Filipino and American soldiers until they were overrun by Japanese invaders.
