The kids love it! It's a 5 minute drive from the cottage; close enough so you can come home to have lunch or take a nap, then go back again (be sure to get your hand stamped!)
Just a short drive from our unit, SeaWorld is a popular family fun destination while in SD. Meet Shamu, ride their roller coaster or experience the various animal shows they offer.

“If you visit in the month of October children can sometimes go in for free with an adult paid ticket. Check their website to see if they are still offering this major discount. If you are looking to save yourselves a few bucks on food you can pack a lunch and take inside so you don't pay for overpriced meals and buy more souvenirs :)”

“Check out the zoo! Recommend going when it is first open in the morning or later on in the day. These times of day it will be coolest and the animals will be the most active.”
