I have no idea why the website won't accept the Waitakere Ranges but this is where I mean!!!! (I don't know what the Auckland Centennial Park is LOL) Total contrast to city- beautiful native bush. Check out the various parts of the Hilary Trail. There is a visitor centre where you can get info.

The Waitakerie ranges have many short walking trails. Please adhere to any signage and dip your shoes where requested to stop the spread of Kauri die back disease
