Great place to walk around with trails along the river where Manatees, gators, turtles, birds and different snakes can often be seen. Beautiful plants and trees and you can see the historic buildings and learn about the history of the group who used to live there.

Interesting history and very nice kayaking/canoeing on the Estero river.

Late 19th century communal utopian cult was here in their "New Jerusalem". "Koreshanity" inspired hundreds to move to this gulf coast site.

Definitely for the more adventurous type, this is a really interesting former community site with plenty of buildings and gorgeous flora to see.

The park is home to 11 immaculately restored and nationally registered historic buildings erected by the Koreshans between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
