池上本門寺は、日蓮聖人が61歳で臨終された霊跡。毎年10月11日・12日・13日の三日間で、「お会式法要」が行われお逮夜に当たる12日の夜は多くの参詣者で賑わいます。

日蓮宗の総本山とあって、風格とスケールがあります。プロレスの祖・力道山の碑も有名です。 東急池上線からも近いし、周囲には、小さなお寺があり、こぎれいな所もあるので、周囲の散策もおすすめできます。 As it is the head temple of the Nichiren sect, it has a personality and scale. The monument to Rikidozan, the founder of professional wrestling, is also famous.
