The Dunedin Chinese Garden was designated a Garden of National Significance in February 2011. A wonderful place to pay homage to Otago's great Chinese heritage.

A very special place that is a must to visit. It celebrates the contribution Chinese people have made, and continue to make, to Dunedin's history, culture and ongoing prosperity. The Dunedin Chinese Garden is the only authentic Chinese garden in New Zealand. It is the first in the Southern Hemisphere.
