Beautiful nature and birding experience on the banks of Verlorenvlei. 15 mins drive from the Berries. Pizzas, Pub, great food, screen sporting events, art exhibitions.

This unique and well reserved- and renovated old farm is must to visit. It is situated next to the "Verloren Vlei" , which is a bird watchers paradise. The Verloren Vlei is an estuary and enjoys the protection as a RAMZAR site. Here you will have the opportunity explore the old architecture and awesome scenery of an era gone by....how the pioneers of the Sandveld lived in harmony with nature. There is a very nice old pub and restaurant on the premises. There is a farm stall that sell various fresh produce and gifts. Take a walk to the bird hide and have a look at the estuary and the birds. Vensterklip is just outside Elands Bay...the Surf Mecca of the West Coast. 4 Star Rating by Tripadvisor

Linda is our famous chef and will grill your steak to perfection. We do a full a la carte menu and will stay open untill late! Enjoy the unique caracter of old Dirkie's Bar and the warm local chatter on a Friday evening. The wine is good, the coffee is good and the food is honest and freshly made, even the bread and cakes are made in our own Tin Kitchen.
