Purely for research purposes on behalf of our guests, you understand (!), I recently indulged in a half-day at the new Monart Spa in Poundbury. This spa is small but it packs a whole lot in and - though pricey - I would say that it is value for money for the level of luxury that it offers. The 6 Thermal rooms are great (my favourites; The Sanarium, Aromatic Steam Room and the InfraRed Room), the hydrotherapy pool the perfect temperature, and the relaxation areas luxurious and comfortable. Then I had a 55min Swedish full-body massage. And my goodness it was delightful. probably the best massage I've ever had (and I've had a few!). Lunch was delicious, and it was lovely to see that they use local businesses to supply their meat, cakes, wine, etc. The decor and artwork throughout is second to none, plush and very stylish. If you fancy spoiling yourself during your stay in Dorchester, I can fully recommend this spa and the treatments it offers.
