A Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, just off the A30 at Pool (between Redruth and Camborne). There is a mining museum and expedition, diaspora gardens, a giant adventure playscape for kids, all of which are free. There is also a cafe and soft play centre.

Described as ‘Cultural Candy’ whatever that is?! Heartlands has the largest adventure playground in Cornwall, some interesting craft and gift shops, Engine House tours and mining museum. www.heartlandscornwall.com It's also very handy if you need groceries as Tesco is just next door!

Learn more about Cornwall's mining history and enjoy the cafe, grounds and mix of shops and markets. The outdoor children's area is very impressive and in the summer there's normally something exciting going on.

Heartlands is around a 15 minute drive away and is a nice place to go for a picnic and a bit of a play. There's a small little stream and outdoor area to play in and a nice place for a few hours. A bit of calm tucked inside an industrial area.
