Walk the Deep Creek sections of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. No pets are allowed on the trails. Bring water shoes to walk in the refreshing streams and view many waterfalls at this location. Tubing is permitted on portions of the river. Plan ahead to rent your tubes. Stop by Deep Creek Winery after completing your time on the Deep Creek Trails. Enjoy the views and munch on a charcuterie board. I recommend the salami and Amish cheese. Take the Blue Ridge Parkway back home. Hike a strenuous, but short hike to Waterrock Knob. If you are prepared with water and hiking supplies, hike on to Browning Knob and discover a crashed plane site. Stop at Boojum for dinner and brews.
