I love this trail because it is wooded, relatively flat in the beginnings, and runs along a creek. It also tends to be less populated than the rest of the state park.

For a 2-4 hour adventure: Sittons Gulch Trail follows a delightful creek and will lead you to several waterfalls in a little over 2 miles. Alternatively, you can stop at the first bridge and turn around. Sitton’s Gulch Trail is a part of Cloudland State Park but its trailhead is in Trenton. Just go down the mountain toward Trenton. At the stop sign, turn L & go to the 2nd L. Then just follow signs. If you’re feeling strong and want to see the waterfalls, in 2 miles you’ll reach the steps & boardwalks that take you there. You do have to climb some steps, but it’s an easy walk back mostly downhill.
