Floating or Paddling the Au Sable River is one of our favorite activities. Oscoda Canoe Rental can set you up with equipment rentals or take you on a prescheduled trip. The trips range from the Whirlpool Launch (6 miles) to the Foote Dam Launch (12 miles).

Haven't tested this place yet so let us know if this is worth it! There is actually another canoe rental place called "North Country Canoe Rental" that AirBNB didn't have in their system.

You rent canoes,tubes float or paddle down AuSable River. It's very clean and a slow moving river. Not Rocky. You show up and they have a couple trips that drop you off and pick up.
