You can do a longer trip by tube, canoe, kayak, or raft with Lander’s Rivers Trips. It is federal parkland and rangers do patrol the area. It’s dog friendly, and fine to bring wine and beer for your picnic, but no glass bottles.

A little further up the road but worth the drive if you want to experience white water rafting!
Raft, kayak, kanoe or tube down the Delaware River. 2020 prices: tubing is $12-$28 depending on distance, boats are $42 for adults, and $21 for kids.
