Beautiful building - great spot to relax, read, have a bite or a coffee. The calendar art part of it is a little odd - but lovely garden & building

The museum is in a 17th century mansion that is worth the visit for the building, terrace, and garden café alone. It houses information on calendars both ancient and modern. Most of the exhibits feature popular culture artists who produced the paintings for Mexican calendars. My favorites are the calendars from the 1940s showcasing WWII world politics. Also the many images of Mesoamerican mythology are fabulous. Again, do not forget to go up to the terrace for a great view of the cupulas of four surrounding churches. The garden café feels like another world with its many birds and cool greenery. Great Mexican and international food that is around $5 a plate! Light bistro fare (sandwiches, salads, breakfasts, enchiladas, chilaquiles, etc. Large portions) An excellent place to get away for a few hours with a cappuchino and a calm quite garden.
