Tips from locals
Greenman Brewing is located in the brewery district in downtown Asheville and have been brewing here since 1997. They are famous for English style ales and lagers. The tours are in small groups and are very informative. You'll sample many beers and tour the entire facility.
This is not necessarily my favorite "venue" but it is my favorite local beer. Go for the taste!
Local craft brewery that is located in the South Slope and has been an Asheville favorite since 1997. They also have a beautiful rooftop patio, a brewery tour, and a tasting room down the street.
2 bars, one is the newer “Greenmansion” which has an upstairs patio, and the other is a cool dive bar called “Dirty Jack’s”. Both next to each other a quick walk from our guest suite.

“Hi-Wire is open every afternoon with four-year round beers: Prime Time Pale Ale, Hi-Pitch IPA, Bed of Nails Brown Ale and a pilsner lager, Hi-Wire Lager. They also offer seasonal. Their location by Biltmore Village is where they brew their beer.”

“Wide variety of beers, so there's something for everyone. Very consistent quality and taste. White Zombie is an all-time fave, and if you can catch Peanut Butter Jelly Time when it's in season, please drink an extra one for us! No food served here, but often there's a food truck as well as an amazing BBQ restaurant, Buxton Hall, located right next door. Or head to their other neighbors, Vortex Doughnuts, for a beer and doughnut pairing! :) ”

“our favorite of the smaller breweries. They have a lot to keep you entertained (ping pong, giant jenga, card games, corn hole, etc...) and the beer is delightful. Its on the south slope and within walking distance to plentiful eateries and breweries.”
