Great for a walk/bike with pedal boats in summer.

There's a 1-mile cinder vita course here I use regularly. Three lakes. Feed the geese. Strike out for Shields Lake and Swan Lake at sunset for a win. Rent paddleboats at Fountain Lake (the closest lake) during summer. Public tennis courts.

A three-minute walk to Byrd Park is a great place to get in some exercise, including a workout on their fitness loop with exercise stations.
