Moerenuma Park (モエレ沼公園, Moerenuma Kōen) is a large park in the outskirts of Sapporo. Surrounded by a marsh, the park has a circumference of about four kilometers. The grounds are covered in attractive green space and there are massive, dramatic features that make the park a very unique public space.

Moerenuma Park is one of those modern, stylish Japanese parks, designed by the late sculptor Isamu Noguchi. A very pleasant way to enjoy a day trip if you want to get away from the busy city. And only a short drive away. Great in the summer but opened all year round.

Originally a trash facility, the park is designed by the very famous artist and landscape architect, Isamu Noguchi. There are plenty of giant sculpture that children can play with and an excellent French restaurant offering french cuisine made with local Japanese ingredients. Reservations required.
