My recommended first stop is a quick drive to the lookout at ‘Mount’ Brown which provides a wonderful view of York and surrounds. Great at sunset! Across the Avon River is Mount Bakewell (privately owned) with the telephone towers. See if you can spot the red roof of Myrtle Cottage on the northwestern outskirts of town!
