Close to Bodegas Ricla, this small place near the Plaza Mayor, has the best fried cod of Madrid. It has three tables and a stand up bar and it’s usually crowded. Just eat cod and have a drink.

“If you are looking for a not very big lunch, this comfortable place has a menu of one dish, drink and coffee for 7,5€, each day a different unique dish but really tasty and well-cooked. If you want to taste the dessert, the cheese flan is great. They have tapas too, apart from the lunch menu. Very lively by evening to have a drink too. ”
